CSoI Education Director, Brent Ladd, has formed a collaboration with Dr. Kendall Roark, School of Information Studies and Anthropology to bring critical theory perspectives to the data science curriculum for a training workshop. The THiNK magazine article describes the importance of applying ethics and critical theory to data science. Students representing sixteen universities will be taking part in the training. The training will also feature Dr. Vetria Byrd from the Byrd Visualization Lab in the Polytechnic Institute at Purdue.
