RCR Ethics Training
-
NSF began a statutory requirement to new research proposals submitted, or due, on or after January 4, 2010, where all funded students and postdocs on those funded proposals undergo training in the responsible conduct of research (RCR). Specifically, NSF requires "that each institution that applies for financial assistance from the Foundation for science and engineering research or education describe in its grant proposal a plan to provide appropriate training and oversight in the responsible and ethical conduct of research to undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers participating in the proposed research project." Students who are funded through the Center, can complete the above RCR training by visiting and completing the course as outlined by the link to their respective institution below.
