Overview

This module is designed with the computer scientist and engineer in mind, to aid in learning the basic language of life sciences. Biology as a field, including from medical research to experiments using real-time sensors, has quickly become data driven. Systems level problems require multidisciplinary approaches, and in turn require that experts coming together learn the basic language of multiple fields. Just as biologists are working to better understand methods and approaches in information sciences, so too are computer scientists and engineers becoming more effective and valuable by learning the basic language of biology. This module will expand as new topics are developed.
