    Natalie McGuckin is an undergraduate student at Purdue University focusing on data science. She is a Channels Scholar with CSoI and is being mentored by Dr. Mark Daniel Ward. Channels Scholars spend 50 hrs/month on their project during the Fall and Spring semesters while taking classes. In addition, Channels Scholars submit research progress reports bi-annually with a goal of presenting their work at a conference.You can view our interview with Natalie from the link below.

    Our vision has been to educate a new generation of diverse students in different disciplines with the core fundamentals, methods, algorithmic thinking, and understanding of applications in the Science of Information. Our education plan encompasses a framework for a multidisciplinary Science of Information curriculum and training as a specialty within a variety of related disciplines.

    CSoI provides students funded research and mentoring experiences with the field\u2019s top faculty at the most prestigious schools. Its REU and Channels Scholar Program aims to broaden the Science of Information community by providing a pathway or "channel" towards a wide range of opportunities for undergraduates students.
