  • Posted in Center News : Thursday, April 14, 2011

The film Top Secret Rosies: The Female Computers of WWII was shown both on the Bryn Mawr College and Purdue University campuses in March and April to a combined audience of nearly 250 people. The film demonstrated the work of women mathematicians that was crucial to winning WWII, and how they became the first computer programmers on the first electronic computer. The Center underscored the need for supporting women in science and co-sponsored the event with the Computer Science Women\u2019s Network.
