As we move towards cyberphysical systems, temporal considerations in information delivery will play an ever larger role. Timeliness of delivery of packets will be just as important as throughput or reliability. Accurate and consistent time-stamping of information will be necessary for information fusion. Temporal coordination of action over a network will be important for the safety and efficiency of the underlying physical systems. We will address these issues vis-a-vis wireless networks, sensor networks and cyberphysical systems. 1
