Center-Wide Grad Student/Post Doc Research Workshop. The student leadership council helped plan the workshop. Keynote speaker, Professor David Tse, set the stage by providing an overview of the emerging field, and grand challenges facing the Center in the life sciences arena. Tsachy Weissman gave an in-depth tutorial on Fundamental Limits and Algorithms for Modern Data and Processing problems. Students from four research teams presented to their peers regarding their projects. Rui Ma, Center postdoc, gave a tutorial for all students on neuroscience basics for information theorists.
