Quality Control: Data
To reduce uncertainty and variability in fluorescence measurements, data should be evaluated.
- Important to avoid the use of automatically calculated fluorescence parameters, presented by the instrument software, until raw data 'traces' have been carefully inspected to ensure the integrity of findings
- At least 20% of recorded traces should be manually checked for agreement of the instrument's calculations of fluorescence parameters. If the manually calculated values are not within ±10% of the instrument calculations, all calculations should be made from the spectral recordings.
