Awards & Recognition


  • Claudio Aguilar received the Sigma Xi midcareer research award and was named University Faculty Scholar. He was also granted an NIH R01 grant (NIH-NIDDK R01DK109398-01 Role: PI Lowe Syndrome: Therapeutic Strategy by Drug Repositioning) and received a CTSI (Clinical and Translational Science Institute) award.

  • Todd Coleman was elected fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering "for outstanding contributions to physiologic signal processing, scalable manufacturing methods for flexible bio-electronics, and neuro-engineering education"

  • David Gleich was appointed as the Jyoti and Aditya Mathur Associate Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University.

  • Ron Rivest received the BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge Award (2018). Ron was also selected for induction into the US National Inventors Hall of Fame (2018).
