  • CSoI Summer School: Information in Neural Systems and Life Sciences, August 4-8, 2014. University of California, San Diego. The school primarily brings together Center students across the 10 partners. Center students are strongly encouraged to register early - deadline for early registration is June 1.   • Faculty & Postdoc Workshop: Teaching and Developing a Science of Information Course or Module (concurrent dates and location with the summer school above), August 6-7, 2014. University of California, San Diego. Presentations and group discussions from faculty regarding their experiences developing and teaching SoI content, with collaboration opportunities in the Center.   • Student Research Workshop: Science of Information for Biological Data, July 7-11, 2014. Purdue University. This workshop, for both graduate and undergraduate students, aims to lower barriers for cross-disciplinary understanding and use of methods and tools combining data science with life sciences. Space is limited to a small group of students who are interested and committed to learning and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment. Website, schedule, and registration forthcoming.   • Women’s Workshop on Communication and Signal Processing, July 16-18, Princeton University. http://www.soihub.org/event.php?id=277

  • Biological Distributed Algorithms workshop. Nancy Lynch of MIT is co-organizing a 2-day workshop on "Biological Distributed Algorithms", to be held at this year's conference on Distributed Computing (DISC) in Austin, TX, in October.   • NSF Site Visit will be held December 8-9, 2014 at Purdue University.
