Maurina Aranda is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biology and is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Life Science program at Purdue University. Previously, she received her Bachelors of Science Honors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Alma College. Maurina has interned at the University of Michigan Health system: Center for Arrhythmia in the summer of 2011 and focused on the study of WT1 protein expression in healthy, adult epicardum. Her research interests include developing novel therapeutics for bladder cancer. In the future, Maurina plans on pursuing a career in academia and continuing her research in the cancer field.
